Roads As we approach the annual meeting, I hear a lot of talk about the roads... Remember, the budget? THIS board is doing a good job sticking to the budget. Last year, the community members, == >>> YOU <<< == voted NOT to put additional money into the 2007 roads 56% to 44%, and voted NOT to put additional money into the 2008 roads 54% to 46%. It is still my understanding that pavers and tar and chip contractors like to get paid for their work. :-) For those of you that are interested, Cavage's bid for tar and chip is over 50% higher then the other company's bids. This makes me feel that he was taking advantage of us in some of the previous years when we didn't get competitive bids. |
The 5/7 Pool Meeting Summary
The turnout was excellent, and the majority of those present seemed to be against the pool. Many of the arguments in favor of the pool had to do with quality of life and property values. Many of the arguments against the pool had to do with keeping the comunity overhead low and dues down.
Bottom line: If you want the PMWF to get a new pool, vote for it in the comming election. If you dont want the PMWF to get a pool, then vote against it.
I hope the pool passes - it's best for our propery values, I hope the budget increases passes, we need more monet for the roads. |
The cost of the new pool is about $250,000. As commercial pools go, this is not expensive. This works out to about $700 each property owner + finance charges ... total. We plan to finance the pool over 5 years, That is less than $150 / year for 5 years. |
Pay Your Dues and Fines! Your vote in this election will not be counted if you have outstanding dues or fines. Make your opinion heard. Protect your rights. |
