Poll Results

The following resumes are printed in the order I received them.  These are the candidates that you should expect to see on your ballot.  There are currently 5 open positions, each having a 3 year term of office as a board member.  The officers (President, etc) are selected by the board members after the elections at the organizational meeting.  The organizational meeting of the board of directors is set for June 1, 2008.

(1) James Silverman
I am James Silverman.  I have been a community member for over 3 years.  I have worked as the maintenance and pool man here for over a year.  I’ve gotten to know this community, its strengths and weakness, by working with many of you and the board.
I believe I bring a lot of valuable experience.  I am currently in charge of maintenance for Birchwood Lakes, and I see what works for them. I could help us avoid mistakes, take advantage of good ideas, and leverage my relationships with many local contractors to benefit our community.
I have been small business owner and manager.  I can help the board plan and carry out plans that make sense.  Experience in management, finances, and decision making would be a good addition to our current board.
I would appreciate a chance to come on board.
Thank You,
Jim Silverman

 (2) Mike Kaylani.

I am Mike Kaylani.  As an active member of the community, I would like the opportunity to be on the board.

I feel as though I can work with the community members to ensure the happiness of the residents while working within the budget to maintain the integrity of the board.

Please feel free to contact me to discuss any community issues that you feel I can help you with.

I look forward to hearing from you and working with you.

Respectfully submitted,

Mike Kaylani

 (3) Ron Pietranowicz

Most of you know me as your Treasurer for the past two years.  I have been on the Board since 2004.  I have spearheaded some radical reforms for this community.  Computerizing our accounting system, changing our fiscal year, changing our CPA, Organizing the office, legal liaison, IT troubleshooting to name a few.  I would like to think I have made a positive difference to the PMWF.  It’s easy to say that one’s work is finished but I have decided that it’s not.  We need new roads, pool, clubhouse renovations and numerous other smaller items that would make this community the best in the area.  I know that the decisions I make each third Sunday of the month add more value to my property.  In today’s real estate uncertainty this is what’s needed.  I am committed to applying my financial expertise to help my community.

 (4) Roger Moats

I am Roger Moats, 52 years old, a graduate of Ohio State University and a community resident for 7 years.  I faithfully served on the PMWFCA board for 4 years as well as chairman of the Security Committee.  I am committed to securing the safety of our residents, our property and our children, rebuilding our crumbling infrastructure as well as maximizing the potential of our community and our property values.  These issues are reflected in my past performance on our board and I will continue to support these beliefs.

 (5) Lori McCrory

My name is Lori McCrory.  My family and I moved to the PMWF the beginning of January 2006.  We came for New Mexico where we lived for eleven years.  Luckily that winter was a little milder then this past one.  I would like you to consider me for a seat on the Board of Director.  I enjoy serving my community and feel I would be a set of new eyes to help keep our community moving forward.  I have served on a board of a family co-op in New Mexico and I have worked in Child Care on two military Bases.  My other work experiences have been and are currently in Preschool and childcare.  I look forward to meeting more of my neighbors.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely

Lori McCrory

 (6) Mary Lou Corbett

I have been a part of the Pocono Mountain Water Forest for over 28 years.  22 years working as the office manager and 6 years as a member of the Board of Directors.

During the past year, I have been a member of the budget committee, and have tried to hold spending to a minimum.  At the board meeting in February, I was appointed assistant treasurer and will continue to try to hold the reins on spending so we may keep within the budget and not have to ask for any additional assessments.

With your vote I will along with the other members of the board endeavor to accomplish the priorities that have been mandated by the general membership.

(7) Frank (Skip) Wydner

Woodland Drive, Section 6, YES, there is a section 6.

Born and raised in Sussex County, my wife and I have lived in a 20 mile radius of here all our lives.  We have been permanent residents since building our home in 1989.

Retired and 60 years young.  Attended NHS in Newton and UN. Of AZ in Tucson.  Rather than teach, I decided to do what my heart wanted.  I drove tractor-trailer for 35 yr-30 for the Sakrete Company.  Always looking out for the little guy, I served as Teamster, Shop Stewart, Organizer and Contract Negotiator.  We are facing higher costs of living and a recession.  My agenda is to balance the needs/wants of the newcomers and our fixed incoming aging population.  I will RESPECT the majority vote.

TO SERVE ON THE BOARD, SERVING OUR COMMUNITY!  NOT TO SERVE THE BOARD MEMBERS PERSONAL AGENDA

(8) James P. Geffken

I grew up in Sparta NJ graduated from Sparta High School. Attended Morris County Community College and graduated with as associated degree.  Enlisted in USMC and served in Vietnam.  My career was in Law enforcement with Sparta Police Department.  Served as President of Fraternal Order of Police for 7 years.           I was commander of VFW post 7248 of 2 terms.   I was Commandant of Jeffrey S. Patterson Detachment for 2 terms.  I have served on the Board for 3 years 2 of which I was President.  I would like to continue to serve on the Board to see the community prosper.

(9) Chad VanJahnke

In January 2008 my wife and I moved into Water Forest on Bayberry Drive.  We recently moved back from Mooresville, NC back to my home town of Dingmans Ferry in expectation of our first child.  Our daughter was born on January 31st happy and healthy.  While living in NC I was a foreman and operator of C.S.I. (Community Service Inc.). We installed underground utilities for Mooresville and other surrounding cities. Most of my life I have been a plumber learning the trade from my father Victor VanJahnke of VanJahnke Plumbing and Heating.  I continue to work with my dad and brother to help keep the family business alive.  I have also started my own business, CV Plumbing and Pumps, doing side jobs when I have a chance.  I may be new to this association however I am a long time resident of Pike County.  I think that I can bring new ideas to the community and get members more involved.  I would love to see our dues go to putting in a new pool and renovating the clubhouse.

 (10) William Frobose

I’ve been a resident since 1987, and have seen many changes, some good-some bad.  I would like to be able to represent our community owners, by responding to the realistic needs of all property owners.  I am a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local # 28 (26 years), were I am a foreman with a crew of between 15 to 40 workers.  I have coordinated large projects such as the Trump Towers, Time Warner, Jazz at Lincoln Center, and the Statue of Liberty.  Currently I’m at the Plaza Hotel.  I am involved in the coordination of job related issues, dealing with building managers, architects, engineers, and general contractors.  I feel our board needs to operate within budget, have safer roads, and regain a stronger sense of community by working together as a team.  I feel my experiences will benefit out community.

Thank You for your support,

William Frobose
